The Harris and Pearson Office Building

The former Harris and Pearson office building in Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill, West Midlands was built in 1888 as the offices to the surrounding firebrick works.

The Harris and Pearson building is a well known local landmark and a grade II listed building. The remarkable front elevation is constructed of refractory and polychromatic brickwork and terracotta detailing all made at the works from local clay.

The fascinating story of Harris and Pearson goes back more than 200 years. Find out more from our history pages.

And the story still continues . . . after being unoccupied for 14 years the West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust, together with assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Architectural Heritage Fund, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, the Manifold Trust, the Headley Trust and Advantage West Midlands, has carried out a programme of restoration.

Now that restoration work is complete, the former Harris and Pearson Office building is once again being used as office accommodation, bringing important regeneration benefits to the area.
